  • What causes this issue?

The component type <ZH>&V1&</> defined in PPMS for software component
release &V2& does not match value <ZH>&V4&</> in the enhanced
package attribute COMP_TYPE of the Software Delivery Assembler (SDA).

    System Response

The system cancels the activity and the package status is unchanged.

    How to fix this error?

You have the following options to copy the value of the component type
    consistently:
If the value <ZH>&V4&</> in the package attribute COMP_TYPE is correct,
change the value in PPMS. Then run the required activity again in the
    SDA.
However, if value <ZH>&V1&</> is to be copied from the PPMS, change
the COMP_TYPE attribute. To do this, register the package with the
"Change Attributes" option. Then you can run the required activity
    again.

    Procedure for System Administrators

Check the component type in PPMS:
<ZK>Transaction BOPP-->Software Components by Technical Name or
Release-->Technical Name (Software Component)/Techn. Release (Release)
    -->Go-->Link Name of Object-->ABAP Component Layer</>
If required, contact the ABAP Assembly Owner for software component
release &V2&. You find this using the menu function in the SDA: Enter
the name of the package in the "Package" field on the "Administration"
tab page and choose <ZH>Environment-->PPMS Contacts</>.
