  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message OQ200 - Authorization check: Data has been filtered -> See long text for details ?

The SAP error message OQ200 indicates that an authorization check has failed due to data filtering. This typically occurs when a user attempts to access data or perform an action for which they do not have the necessary authorizations. The message suggests that the data being accessed has been filtered based on the user's authorization profile.

    Cause:

    1. Insufficient Authorizations: The user does not have the required authorizations to view or manipulate the data in question.
    2. Data Filtering: The system is configured to filter data based on user roles and authorizations, which may restrict access to certain records or transactions.
    3. Role Configuration: The roles assigned to the user may not include the necessary permissions for the specific transaction or data set.

    Solution:

    1. Check User Authorizations:

      • Review the user's roles and authorizations in the SAP system. This can be done using transaction codes like SU01 (User Maintenance) or PFCG (Role Maintenance).
      • Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations for the specific transaction or data they are trying to access.
    2. Adjust Role Assignments:

      • If the user lacks the necessary authorizations, consider adjusting their role assignments or adding the required authorizations to their existing roles.
      • Work with your SAP security team to ensure that the roles are correctly configured to allow access to the required data.
    3. Review Authorization Objects:

      • Identify the specific authorization objects that are causing the restriction. This can be done by checking the long text of the error message or using transaction SU53 (Authorization Check) immediately after the error occurs.
      • Make sure that the relevant authorization objects are included in the user's roles.
    4. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for more details on the specific authorization objects and their implications.
    5. Testing:

      • After making changes to roles or authorizations, test the transaction again to ensure that the issue is resolved.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes:
      • SU01: User Maintenance
      • PFCG: Role Maintenance
      • SU53: Display Authorization Check
    • Authorization Objects: These are specific to the data and transactions in SAP. Common objects include S_TCODE (Transaction Codes), S_USER_AUTH (User Authorizations), and others depending on the module in use.
