Message type: E = Error
Message class: OO - Class Builder/API
Message number: 678
Message text: Alias &1 cannot be handled in form based editor or by note assistant
The alias &V1& is not stored in the metadata persistence and will not be
shown in the form-based editor (/SE24, Tab 'Aliases').
Note Assistant, Correction Workbench and Version Management rely on
complete and consistent metadata. Therefore, these tools won't work
properly with these inconsistent metadata. E.g., Correction instructions
applied with Note Assistant might lead to syntax errors in customer
systems.
Class Builder shows this warning.
There is no functional impediment with the class/interface as long as
only the source-based editor is used.
Open the section related to alias &V1& in the source-based
representation (either in source-based editor or in transaction SE24 via
menu "Go To > ... Section")
Perform a dummy change within the section (e.g., add a new empty line of
source code).
Save the changes.
Verify in transaction SE24 whether the Tab 'Aliases' contains the
missing alias entries, now.
Activate the class/interface.
The syntax-check warning should not be shown any more.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
