- The BOM deletion flag for material &1 has been cancelled ?The SAP error message MU065 indicates that the deletion flag for a Bill of Materials (BOM) for a specific material has been canceled. This typically occurs when there is an attempt to delete or modify a BOM that has been marked for deletion, but the deletion flag has been removed or is not set correctly.
Cause:
- Deletion Flag Not Set: The BOM for the material in question may not have the deletion flag set properly, which means it cannot be deleted.
- Dependencies: There may be dependencies or references to the BOM that prevent it from being deleted. For example, if the BOM is still being used in production orders or other processes, the system will not allow deletion.
- User Authorization: The user may not have the necessary authorization to delete the BOM or to set the deletion flag.
- System Configuration: There may be configuration settings in the SAP system that affect how BOMs are managed and deleted.
Solution:
- Check BOM Status: Verify the status of the BOM in question. Ensure that the deletion flag is set correctly. You can do this by navigating to the BOM in the SAP system and checking its details.
- Remove Dependencies: If there are any dependencies (like production orders or other references), you may need to remove or complete those before you can delete the BOM.
- Set Deletion Flag: If the BOM is intended to be deleted, ensure that the deletion flag is set correctly. You can do this in the BOM maintenance transaction (CS02) by selecting the appropriate BOM and setting the deletion flag.
- User Authorization: Ensure that the user attempting to delete the BOM has the necessary authorizations. You may need to consult with your SAP security team to verify this.
