    The variants can be ordered and received only as individual materials,
    not at generic material level using the matrix of variants defined for

    Hierarchical subitems (generic material - variant - empties) are not
    supported in inventory management.

    indicator <DS:DE.W_MITLEERG>W/ empties BOM</> must be set in the
    material master record. In the standard R/3 System, this indicator
    appears on the <LS>Basic Data</> screen in the material master.
