  • What causes this issue?

    You want to set a field to "invisible" or "output only" with a screen
    variant, without also setting a value.
    However, the field is obligatory (or you want to set it to "obligatory"
    with the screen variant).
    If an obligatory field does not have any contents, the application is
    canceled with an error message.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    If you are not sure that the field will be filled by the application in
    every possible constellation, also set a value, or leave the field
    ready for entries. You can do this in the list that you receive after
    ending the application when saving the variant.
