What causes this issue?

FS item &V1& manages characteristic "&V2&" as a required breakdown.

System Response

Only the subitem is allowed to be used as a breakdown for the
adjustment item; as well as characteristics with a breakdown type for
which the default value is taken automatically (warning).

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
