SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: MPE_RTG_UI - Messages for Routing Maintenance

  • Message number: 161

  • Message text: Effectivity of OA &1 (op. &2) does not completely cover the filter

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

    The effectivity range of the operation activity in question does not
    completely cover the defined effectivity filter.

    System Response

    The system does not create the filter.

    How to fix this error?

    You want to change the routing for a specific effectivity range only.
    When specifying this effectivity range, you must make sure that all
    operations and operation activities are valid for the selected filter
    interval. That is, all operations and operation activities must cover
    the filter interval completely or they may also be valid for a larger
    effectivity. Operations and operation activities that do not match the
    entered effectivity range at all are not displayed.
    Note that the same is true for the MBOM items. All MBOM items must cover
    the filter interval completely or may also be valid for a larger
    effectivity range. MBOM items with an effectivity range completely
    outside the entered filter interval are not displayed at all.
    <ZH>Example:
    </>In the following example, the term <ZK>object </>represents either an
    operation, operation activity, or a BOM item.
    Filter effectivity: 20 - 30
    Object1 = 20 - 30 (shown)
    Object2 = 10 - 40 (shown)
    Object3 = 1 - 10 (not shown)
    Object4 = 20 - 41 (shown)
    If there is an object with an effectivity range of 25 - 30, the filter
    is not valid.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    2. Adjust Filter Criteria: Modify the filter criteria to match the effectivity of the operation. This may involve changing the date range or other parameters in the filter.
    3. Review Routing Data: Ensure that all necessary data for the routing and operations is complete and correctly configured. This includes checking for any missing entries or incorrect settings.
