SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: MPE_INSTALLATION_MSG -

  • Message number: 023

  • Message text: No network activity with reference point &

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Either a network activity with the BOM item's reference point does not
exist or the BOM item for the installation kit was added only recently
and the network has not yet been updated.

    System Response

Reference points are used to assign BOM items to network activities. BOM
transfer (transaction <LB>CN33_N</>) automatically assigns a BOM item
with a reference point to a network activity with the same reference
point. Automatic assignment is not possible because a network activity
with the BOM item?s reference point does not exist.

    How to fix this error?

    1. Add a new network activity with the required reference point
    (transaction <AB>CJ20N</> with selected project).
    2. Re-explode the current BOM version.
    Or
    1. Change the BOM item?s reference point if it is incorrect (<LS>Manage
Bill of Material</> app with selected item).
    2. Re-explode the current BOM version.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
