    In order to allow the creation of an update log, the parameter 'MCL'
    must be set to the value 'X' in your user data.

    The function cannot be performed as long as the parameter has not been
    set.

    How to fix this error?

    Set the parameter 'MCL' to the value 'X'.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    In another session, choose "System -> User defaults -> User parameters"
    from any menu.
    Your current user-specific parameters will be displayed.
    In the field "PID" (parameter ID), add the parameter "MCL".
    Assign the value "X" to this parameter.
    Save the new parameter setting.
    Perform the function again.
