What causes this issue?

The radio button <LS>By valuation area</> indicates only whether
quantities or values are updated differently in one or more
<DS:GLOS.3526C0D5AFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>valuation areas</>.

System Response

The system has set the radio button back to its original setting.

How to fix this error?

If you want quantities or values to be updated differently in different
valuation areas, double-click <LS>Quantity/value updating</> in the
hierarchy display, and maintain the valuation areas as required. When
you return to the previous screen, the radio button is now set to
<LS>By valuation area</>. You can undo your changes by changing the
setting of the radio button to <LS>In all valuation areas</> or to
<LS>In no valuation area</> as required.
