The SAP error message MKTPL_R3024, which states "You are not allowed to move hierarchy node &1," typically occurs in the context of managing hierarchical structures in SAP, such as when working with product hierarchies, organizational hierarchies, or other similar structures.

    Cause:

The error usually arises due to one of the following reasons:

    1. Authorization Issues: The user attempting to move the hierarchy node does not have the necessary authorizations or permissions to perform this action. This is often the most common cause of such errors.

      • If the hierarchy is managed by a specific module (like SAP Marketing or SAP Product Lifecycle Management), ensure that the settings allow for modifications.
    3. Node Status Verification:

      • Verify the status of the hierarchy node you are trying to move. If it is inactive or in a restricted state, you may need to change its status before attempting to move it.
