Message class: MILL_OC - Messages for order combination
Message number: 032
Message text: Finish date has been moved (Please check original orders)
The end date for the combined order has been moved into the future as a
result of scheduling.
For scheduling, the system uses the earliest end data from the original
orders. On the basis of this date and the inhouse production time, the
system calculates the start date. If this date is in the past, the
system moves the start date to the current date.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
In the original orders, check whether the later end date is reasonable.

- Finish date has been moved (Please check original orders) ?The SAP error message MILL_OC032, which states "Finish date has been moved (Please check original orders)," typically occurs in the context of production planning and scheduling within the SAP system. This error indicates that the finish date of a production order has been adjusted or moved, which may lead to inconsistencies with the original order or scheduling conflicts.
Causes:
- Rescheduling: The finish date may have been changed due to rescheduling of production orders, which can happen if there are delays or changes in resource availability.
- Capacity Constraints: If there are capacity constraints in the production environment, the system may automatically adjust finish dates to accommodate these constraints.
- Order Dependencies: If there are dependencies between orders (e.g., one order must be completed before another can start), changes in one order can affect the finish dates of others.
- Material Availability: If materials required for production are not available on time, the system may push back the finish date.
- Manual Changes: Users may have manually changed the finish date of the order, leading to this error.
Solutions:
- Check Original Orders: Review the original production orders to understand the context of the finish date change. Look for any dependencies or constraints that may have caused the adjustment.
- Review Scheduling Parameters: Check the scheduling parameters and settings in the production order to ensure they are correctly configured.
- Adjust Capacity Planning: If capacity constraints are causing the issue, consider adjusting the capacity planning or resource allocation to better align with production needs.
- Material Availability Check: Ensure that all necessary materials are available for production. If materials are missing, work on procurement or alternative solutions.
- Re-schedule Orders: If necessary, re-schedule the affected orders to align with the new finish dates and ensure that all dependencies are respected.
- Consult with Production Planning Team: Collaborate with the production planning team to understand the implications of the date change and to find a suitable resolution.
