    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

The selected delivery date/time at schedule line level for delivery of
the articles by the supplier does not correspond to the planned delivery
times for this supplier at the door/staging zone of the receiving site.
Check the delivery date/time. If you manually remove the time, the
system will then automatically suggest the planned time for the supplier
on the delivery day if the delivery day has been defined for this
    supplier and the door/staging area.
If the delivery day has not been defined for the supplier, you can use
the capacity check to manually assign a time on the basis of existing
    resources in the goods receipt.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message MEPO311 - Assignment of door/area data does not correspond to settings ?

The SAP error message MEPO311, which states "Assignment of door/area data does not correspond to settings," typically occurs in the context of materials management, particularly when dealing with purchasing documents or inventory management. This error indicates that there is a mismatch between the door/area data assigned to a material or storage location and the settings defined in the system.

    Causes:

    1. Incorrect Configuration: The door or area data may not be correctly configured in the system. This could be due to missing or incorrect entries in the configuration tables related to storage locations or warehouse management.

    2. Master Data Issues: The material master or storage location master data may not have the correct door/area assignments. This can happen if the data was not maintained properly or if there were changes in the warehouse layout that were not reflected in the master data.

    3. Warehouse Management Settings: If you are using SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) or Warehouse Management (WM), the settings for the warehouse might not align with the door/area data being used.

    4. Transport Layer Issues: If there are transport requests that have not been properly imported or if there are inconsistencies between different environments (e.g., development, quality, production), this could lead to such errors.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Configuration: Review the configuration settings for door/area assignments in the relevant customizing transactions (e.g., SPRO). Ensure that the door/area data is correctly defined and matches the expected settings.

    2. Review Master Data: Check the material master and storage location master data for the relevant materials. Ensure that the door/area assignments are correctly maintained. You can use transaction codes like MM03 (Display Material) or LS03N (Display Storage Location) to verify this information.

    3. Adjust Warehouse Management Settings: If you are using WM or EWM, ensure that the warehouse management settings are correctly aligned with the door/area data. This may involve checking the warehouse structure and ensuring that all relevant settings are consistent.

    4. Transport Consistency: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs and ensure that all necessary objects were transported correctly. If there are inconsistencies, you may need to re-transport the relevant objects.

    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to this error message for any specific guidance or patches that may address the issue.
