Message text: Validity intervals no longer correspond to the time constraint
When data is transferred, the system does not adjust the validity
intervals.
According to the time constraint, changing the interval limits of an
interval or deleting an interval causes the interval limits of the next
validity interval to be changed as well. You make this adjustment
yourself when data is transferred.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
In a data transfer run, you have to change all the validity intervals
for a business partner relationship/role definition in such a way that
the interval limits match the time constraint.

MDGBP062
- Validity intervals no longer correspond to the time constraint ?The SAP error message MDGBP062 indicates that there is a mismatch between the validity intervals of a material and the time constraint defined in the system. This typically occurs in the context of material master data, particularly when dealing with planning data or when using the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) functionality.
Cause:
The error usually arises due to one of the following reasons:
- Invalid Validity Periods: The validity periods for the material master data (like MRP data) do not align with the time constraints set in the system. For example, if a material is set to be valid from a certain date but the planning horizon does not accommodate that date, this error can occur.
- Changes in Planning Parameters: If there have been changes in the planning parameters or settings that affect the time constraints, it can lead to this error.
- Data Inconsistencies: There may be inconsistencies in the data entered for the material master, such as overlapping validity periods or incorrect dates.
Solution:
To resolve the MDGBP062 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Validity Periods:
- Go to the material master data (transaction code
MM03
).- Check the MRP data and ensure that the validity periods are correctly set and do not overlap or fall outside the defined planning horizon.
Adjust Time Constraints:
- Review the time constraints set in the system (this can be done in the configuration settings for MRP).
- Ensure that the planning horizon accommodates the validity periods of the materials.
Correct Data Inconsistencies:
- If there are any inconsistencies in the data, correct them. This may involve adjusting the validity dates or removing any overlapping periods.
Re-evaluate Planning Parameters:
- If there have been recent changes to planning parameters, re-evaluate them to ensure they align with the material master data.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on handling validity intervals and time constraints.
Testing:
- After making the necessary adjustments, test the changes to ensure that the error no longer occurs.
