M3708
- You have defined an "Extras" function with a value > 15 ?The SAP error message M3708 indicates that there is an issue with the configuration of the "Extras" function in the material master or related settings. Specifically, it means that you have defined an "Extras" function with a value greater than 15, which is not allowed in the system.
Cause:
The error occurs because the system has a limitation on the number of "Extras" functions that can be defined. The maximum allowed value for these functions is 15. If you attempt to define more than this limit, the system will trigger the M3708 error.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you need to check the configuration of the "Extras" function in your SAP system. Here are the steps you can take:
Review Configuration: Go to the configuration settings where the "Extras" functions are defined. This is typically found in the material master settings or related transaction codes.
Limit the Number of Extras: Ensure that the number of defined "Extras" functions does not exceed 15. If you have more than 15, you will need to remove or consolidate some of them.
Adjust Settings: If you need to keep all the functionalities, consider whether you can combine some of the "Extras" functions or if you can achieve the desired outcome through other means.
Test Changes: After making adjustments, test the changes to ensure that the error no longer occurs and that the system behaves as expected.
Documentation: Document any changes made for future reference and to inform other users or administrators about the limitations.
