How To Fix LXE_MASTER015 - Only system users in the current client are checked (see long text)

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: LXE_MASTER - Messages for translation administration environment

  • Message number: 015

  • Message text: Only system users in the current client are checked (see long text)

  • Show details Hide details
  • The system checks whether a system user exists for all translators
defined in transaction LXE_MASTER, regardless of target language. If one
or more obsolete translators are found, the system displays them in a
list. You can select some or all of the translators in this list, and
    then delete them.
The system also deletes the collection assignments of these obsolete
    translators.
<ZH>NOTE:</> The system only checks users in the current client. This
means that if you translate in more than one client and have different
system users in each client, this function is potentially dangerous and
should be used with care. You could accidentally delete translators for
whom system users exist in a client that is not the current client.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message LXE_MASTER015 - Only system users in the current client are checked (see long text) ?

The SAP error message LXE_MASTER015 indicates that the system is only checking for system users in the current client. This typically occurs in the context of user management or when trying to perform certain operations that involve user authorizations or roles.

    Cause:

The error is triggered when a user or process attempts to access or manipulate data related to users that are not system users in the current client. In SAP, system users are typically those that are created for specific system functions and are not intended for regular user access. The error suggests that the operation you are trying to perform is restricted to system users only, and it cannot find the relevant user in the current client.

    Solution:

To resolve this error, consider the following steps:

    1. Check User Type: Ensure that the user you are trying to work with is indeed a system user and is created in the current client. You can check this in transaction code SU01 (User Maintenance).

    2. Client-Specific Settings: Verify that you are in the correct client. If you are trying to access users from a different client, switch to that client and perform the necessary operations.

    3. Authorization Issues: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to view or manipulate system users. You may need to consult with your SAP security team to ensure you have the right roles assigned.

    4. Review Configuration: If you are performing a specific operation (like a data import or export), review the configuration settings to ensure they are set up correctly for the current client.

    5. Consult Documentation: Check the SAP documentation or help files for more details on the specific transaction or operation you are trying to perform, as there may be additional requirements or restrictions.

    6. SAP Notes: Look for any relevant SAP Notes that might address this error. Sometimes, SAP releases notes that provide fixes or workarounds for specific issues.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as SU01 (User Maintenance), SU10 (Mass User Maintenance), and SUIM (User Information System) for user management tasks.
    • User Types: Understand the different types of users in SAP (dialog users, system users, service users, etc.) and their purposes.
    • Client Concept: Be aware of the SAP client concept, which allows multiple environments (like development, testing, and production) to exist within the same SAP system.

If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to reach out to your SAP Basis or security team for further assistance.
