LTR2_ES_CHECK259
- Invalid transfer ID for replication ?The SAP error message LTR2_ES_CHECK259 with the description "Invalid transfer ID for replication" typically occurs in the context of data replication processes, particularly when using SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) for real-time data replication from source systems to SAP HANA or other target systems.
Cause:
The error can be caused by several factors, including:
- Invalid Transfer ID: The transfer ID being used for the replication process does not exist or is not recognized by the system.
- Configuration Issues: There may be misconfigurations in the SLT setup, such as incorrect source or target system settings.
- Data Consistency Issues: If there are inconsistencies in the data or if the data has been modified in a way that the replication process cannot handle, it may lead to this error.
- Network Issues: Temporary network issues or connectivity problems between the source and target systems can also lead to this error.
- Replication Setup: The replication setup might not be properly initialized or activated.
Solution:
To resolve the LTR2_ES_CHECK259 error, you can follow these steps:
Check Transfer ID: Verify that the transfer ID you are using is correct and exists in the system. You can check the transfer ID in the SLT configuration.
Review SLT Configuration: Ensure that the SLT configuration is set up correctly. Check the source and target system settings, and make sure that the replication settings are properly defined.
Monitor Data Consistency: Look for any inconsistencies in the data that might be causing the replication to fail. You may need to perform data cleansing or reinitialization of the replication.
Check Logs: Review the SLT logs for any additional error messages or warnings that could provide more context about the issue. The logs can often point to the specific cause of the problem.
Network Connectivity: Ensure that there are no network issues between the source and target systems. Test the connectivity and resolve any network-related problems.
Reinitialize Replication: If the issue persists, consider reinitializing the replication process. This may involve stopping the current replication, clearing any existing data, and starting the replication from scratch.
Consult Documentation: Refer to the official SAP documentation for SLT and the specific error message for any additional troubleshooting steps or recommendations.
