  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message LTR2_ES191 - Assigned table field &1-&2 for parameter &3 does not exist in sender (&4) ?

The SAP error message LTR2_ES191 indicates that there is an issue with a parameter assignment in a data transfer or mapping process, specifically related to a field that is expected to exist in the sender system but does not. This error typically arises in the context of data transfer processes, such as those involving SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) or other data replication scenarios.

    Cause:

The error message can be caused by several factors:

    1. Field Mismatch: The field specified in the error message (denoted by &1 and &2) does not exist in the source table or structure in the sender system (&4).
    2. Incorrect Configuration: The configuration for the data transfer may be incorrect, leading to an attempt to access a non-existent field.
    3. Changes in Data Model: If there have been changes in the data model of the sender system (e.g., fields added, removed, or renamed), the mapping may no longer be valid.
    4. Transport Issues: If the data model changes were transported from a development environment to a production environment, there may be inconsistencies.

    Solution:

To resolve the error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Verify Field Existence:

      • Check the sender system to confirm that the field specified in the error message exists in the relevant table or structure.
      • Use transaction codes like SE11 (Data Dictionary) to look up the table and verify the field definitions.
    2. Check Configuration:

      • Review the configuration settings for the data transfer or mapping process. Ensure that the parameters and field mappings are correctly defined.
      • If using SLT, check the configuration in the SLT replication setup.
    3. Update Mapping:

      • If the field has been renamed or removed, update the mapping configuration to reflect the current data model.
      • Adjust the data transfer settings to ensure they align with the existing fields in the sender system.
    4. Transport Consistency:

      • If the issue arose after a transport, ensure that all necessary objects and dependencies were transported correctly.
      • Check for any missing objects or inconsistencies between the development and production environments.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific error message for additional guidance and troubleshooting steps.
    6. Testing:

      • After making the necessary changes, test the data transfer process to ensure that the error has been resolved.

    Related Information:

    • SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes for any known issues or patches related to this error message.
    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as SLT configuration transactions, SE11 for data dictionary checks, and SLG1 for logs.
    • Community Forums: Consider searching or posting in SAP community forums for additional insights from other users who may have encountered similar issues.
