  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message LTR2_ES057 - Table &1 contains no data, but is active for data model &2, bus.obj. &3 ?

The SAP error message LTR2_ES057 indicates that a specific table (denoted as &1) is active for a data model (denoted as &2) and business object (denoted as &3), but it does not contain any data. This situation can arise in various contexts, particularly in SAP applications that utilize data models for reporting, analytics, or data processing.

    Cause:

    1. No Data Loaded: The most common cause of this error is that the table in question has not been populated with any data. This could be due to a failure in the data loading process or simply because the relevant data has not been entered into the system.
    2. Incorrect Configuration: The data model or business object may be incorrectly configured, leading to the system expecting data in a table that is not being populated correctly.
    3. Data Model Activation: The data model might be activated without the necessary data being loaded into the associated tables.
    4. Data Deletion: Data might have been deleted from the table after it was activated for the data model.

    Solution:

    1. Check Data Loading: Verify if the data loading process for the table has been executed successfully. If not, you may need to run the relevant data extraction or loading jobs to populate the table.
    2. Review Configuration: Check the configuration of the data model and business object to ensure that they are set up correctly and that they point to the right tables.
    3. Data Model Activation: If the data model was activated prematurely, consider deactivating it and reactivating it after ensuring that the necessary data is present in the table.
    4. Data Entry: If the table is supposed to contain data that has not yet been entered, you may need to manually input the required data or ensure that the data entry processes are functioning correctly.
    5. Consult Logs: Review any relevant logs or error messages that may provide additional context on why the data is missing.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: You may want to use transaction codes like SE11 (Data Dictionary) to check the structure of the table, or SE80 (Object Navigator) to review the data model and business object configurations.
