- Mixed pallets with ind. B or X require partial pallet management ?The SAP error message LT231 indicates that there is an issue with mixed pallets in the warehouse management system, specifically when dealing with individual handling units (indicated by B or X). This error typically arises when the system is trying to process a mixed pallet that does not conform to the expected handling unit management settings.
Cause:
- Mixed Pallet Configuration: The error occurs when the system encounters a mixed pallet that contains different materials or handling units, and the configuration does not allow for this type of handling without partial pallet management.

- Warehouse Process Configuration: The warehouse process may not be set up to handle partial pallets, which is necessary for managing mixed pallets effectively.
Solution:
Enable Partial Pallet Management:
- Go to the configuration settings in SAP and enable partial pallet management for the relevant warehouse or storage type. This allows the system to manage mixed pallets appropriately.
Review Handling Unit Types:
- Check the handling unit types being used. Ensure that the handling units are correctly defined and that the system is set up to handle mixed pallets with the specified handling unit types (B or X).
Adjust Warehouse Management Settings:
- Review the warehouse management settings to ensure that they are configured to allow mixed pallets. This may involve adjusting the settings for storage types, storage sections, or other relevant parameters.
Training and Documentation:
