The SAP error message LT179, which states "Field 'GR data to quant' cannot be copied," typically occurs in the context of warehouse management and inventory management processes. This error is often related to issues with the transfer of goods receipt (GR) data to the quant (quantities in storage bins) during the transfer order (TO) processing.

    Causes:

    Solutions:

    1. Check Quant Existence: Verify that the quant exists in the system and is correctly defined. You can do this by checking the storage bin and the stock levels.
    2. Review Goods Receipt Data: Ensure that the goods receipt data is complete and accurate. Check for any discrepancies in the stock levels.
    3. Configuration Review: Review the configuration settings in the Warehouse Management module to ensure that they are set up correctly for the operations you are performing.
    4. Stock Type Verification: Make sure that the stock type is appropriate for the operation. If necessary, adjust the stock type or move the stock to a compatible type.
    5. User Authorizations: Check the user roles and authorizations to ensure that the user has the necessary permissions to perform the operation.
