  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message LQ044 - Translator status lower than target text status ?

The SAP error message LQ044, which states "Translator status lower than target text status," typically occurs in the context of translation management within SAP systems, particularly when dealing with the translation of texts in various languages.

    Cause:

This error arises when the status of the translation (translator status) is lower than the status of the target text. In SAP, translation statuses are used to track the progress of translations. The statuses can include:

    2. Update Translator Status: If the translator has completed their work, update the translator status to match the target text status. This can usually be done in the translation management interface.

    3. Re-evaluate Workflow: If there are multiple translators or steps involved, ensure that the workflow is correctly set up and that all participants are aware of their responsibilities and statuses.

    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific instructions on managing translation statuses in your version of SAP.

    5. Contact Support: If the issue persists or if you are unsure about making changes, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert.
