Message text: Problems with active ingred. mgmt in WM in connection with rel.ord. parts
If active ingredient management is active, the transfer requirements
created for material staging are always created in the
active-ingredient unit of measure. Also, the creation of transfer
orders and batch determination in the WM system are based upon this
unit of measure.
The available quantities in the production storage bins and the
quanities still to be staged are also calculated in the
active-ingredient unit of measure. To determine the open quantity of a
component, the requirement quantity and the quantity already picked,
that is, the quantity whose consumption is already posted, must be
taken into consideration. The requirement quantity is also listed in
the active-ingredient unit of measure in the reservation, but the
picked quantity is only in the base unit of measure. The conversion of
the quantity to active-ingredient unit of measure cannot be done since
it is batch-related and the reservation does not have a reference to
the posted batch.
If no partial confirmation or partial consumption posting takes place,
that is, the entire component is picked in one posting, the release
order parts can be used in connection with active ingredient management
without hesitation. If you have partial postings, on the other hand,
the system cannot determine the open quantities correctly.
