The SAP error message LESI017 indicates that a storage bin contains more than one Handling Unit (HU) or Storage Unit (SU). This situation typically arises in warehouse management scenarios where the system expects a one-to-one relationship between storage bins and handling units or storage units, but finds multiple units in the same bin.

    Cause:

    1. Multiple Handling Units: The storage bin is configured to hold only one handling unit, but multiple handling units have been placed in that bin.
    2. Incorrect Configuration: The warehouse management system may not be configured correctly to handle multiple handling units in a single storage bin.
    3. Data Entry Errors: Manual errors during the goods receipt or transfer processes may lead to multiple handling units being assigned to the same storage bin.
    4. System Settings: The system settings for the storage type or bin may not allow for multiple handling units.

    Solution:

    1. Check Storage Bin Configuration: Review the configuration of the storage bin and ensure that it is set up to allow multiple handling units if that is the intended design.
    2. Reorganize Handling Units: Move the excess handling units to different storage bins to comply with the one-to-one relationship.
    3. Use HU Management: If handling units are being used, ensure that the handling unit management is properly configured and that the handling units are correctly assigned to the storage bins.
    4. Review Goods Movement: Check the goods movement documents to identify where the error occurred and correct any discrepancies.
    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific configuration settings related to handling units and storage bins.
