  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message LAW2_MESSAGES611 - The send date of consolidation &1 is older than &2 days ?

The SAP error message LAW2_MESSAGES611 indicates that there is an issue with the send date of a consolidation document. Specifically, it means that the send date of the consolidation is older than a specified number of days (represented by &2). This is typically a validation check to ensure that the data being processed is current and relevant.

    Cause:

    1. Outdated Data: The consolidation document has a send date that is older than the allowed threshold (e.g., 30 days). This could happen if the document was not processed in a timely manner.
    2. Configuration Settings: The system may have been configured to restrict processing of documents that are older than a certain number of days to prevent the use of outdated information.
    3. Data Entry Errors: There may have been an error in data entry that resulted in an incorrect send date being recorded.

    Solution:

    1. Check the Send Date: Review the send date of the consolidation document in question. If it is indeed older than the allowed threshold, you will need to determine if it is still relevant for processing.
    2. Update the Document: If the document is still valid, consider updating the send date to a more current date, if your business processes allow for this.
    3. Reprocess the Document: If the document is outdated and no longer relevant, you may need to create a new consolidation document with the correct and current data.
    4. Configuration Review: If this error occurs frequently, review the configuration settings related to document processing timelines. Adjust the thresholds if necessary, but ensure that this aligns with your business requirements.
    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or consult with your SAP support team for specific guidance on handling this error in your system context.
