Message text: Inconsistency between distribution model and Customizing in decentr. whse
The definition in the distribution model conflicts with the Customizing
settings for decentral WMS processing.
If you define the filtering objects in the distribution model for the
object "GoodsMovement" (object type BUS2017) and the method "Create" for
plant &V1& and storage location &V2&, the system transmits the postings
relevant to stock in Warehouse Managment (WM) asynchronously to
Inventory Management (IM) in the SAP S/4HANA system.
In this case, this concerns a decentral warehousing process in the
framework of the Warehouse Management System (WMS). In WM Customizing,
however, there is no reference to a central SAP S/4HANA system for the
combination plant/storage location &V1&/&V2&.
On the other hand, if the reference to a central system is maintained
for plant &V1& and storage location &V2& in WM Customizing, you must
also maintain the distribution model accordingly.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Maintain the distribution model and WM Customizing together to ensure
that the settings are always in agreement.

L9518
- Inconsistency between distribution model and Customizing in decentr. whse ?The SAP error message L9518 indicates an inconsistency between the distribution model and the customizing settings in a decentralized warehouse management (WM) environment. This error typically arises when there are discrepancies in the configuration of the distribution model or when the settings in the decentralized warehouse do not align with the central system.
Cause:
- Inconsistent Distribution Model: The distribution model may not be correctly defined or may not match the settings in the decentralized warehouse.
- Customizing Settings: There may be missing or incorrect customizing settings in the decentralized warehouse that do not correspond to the central system.
- Master Data Issues: There could be issues with master data, such as material master records or storage location data, that are not aligned between the systems.
- Change in Configuration: Recent changes in the configuration of either the central or decentralized system that have not been properly synchronized.
Solution:
- Check Distribution Model: Review the distribution model settings in the central system to ensure they are correctly defined and that all necessary entries are present.
- Verify Customizing Settings: Go through the customizing settings in the decentralized warehouse to ensure they match the requirements of the distribution model. This includes checking settings related to warehouse processes, storage types, and movement types.
- Synchronize Master Data: Ensure that all relevant master data is consistent between the central and decentralized systems. This may involve checking material master records, storage locations, and other related data.
- Review Change Logs: If there have been recent changes to the configuration, review the change logs to identify any modifications that may have led to the inconsistency.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific version you are using, as there may be known issues or additional steps required for your specific setup.
- Testing: After making adjustments, perform tests to ensure that the error does not reoccur and that the systems are functioning as expected.
