Message text: Communication record received is not for WM (no WM prefix)
The communication record was transmitted to the decentralized R/3
Warehouse Management (WM) system (R/2-R/3 Link) even though it was not
intended for that system. All communication records that are sent to the
WM system must have the prefix "WM" in the first two positions of the
record type. This means that all communication records sent to the
receiving program SAPL06D in the decentralized system without the "WM"
prefix will not be received and the transmission will be interrupted.
Check the communication document in a the R/2 System giving special
notice to the record type. Depending upon the record type (for example,
"SD" for decentralized shipping) define the correct program and module
of the target system in the corresponding queue.

This error indicates that the system has received a communication record that does not have the expected Warehouse Management (WM) prefix, which is necessary for the system to process the record correctly.
Cause:
- Incorrect Data Format: The communication record being processed does not conform to the expected format for WM records. This could be due to a missing or incorrect prefix that identifies the record as a WM-related entry.
- Integration Issues: If there are integrations with other systems (like EDI or third-party logistics), the data being sent may not be formatted correctly for SAP WM.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the WM module that are not set up correctly, leading to the system not recognizing the incoming records.
Solution:
- Check the Data Source: Verify the source of the communication record. Ensure that the data being sent to SAP is correctly formatted and includes the necessary WM prefix.
- Review Integration Settings: If the records are coming from an external system, check the integration settings to ensure that the data is being transmitted correctly. This may involve reviewing EDI mappings or other interfaces.
- Debugging: Use transaction codes like SLG1 (Application Log) to check for any logs related to the error. This can provide more context on what went wrong.
- Configuration Review: Review the configuration settings in the WM module to ensure that everything is set up correctly. This includes checking the settings for communication and data processing.
- Testing: After making any changes, conduct tests to ensure that the records are being processed correctly without errors.
