    The deletion flag is set in the master data of the cost object ID.
    This cost object will be deleted during the next
    reorganization, and may therefore not be processed.

KZ053 - Details

  • The SAP error message KZ053 ("Cost object & logically deleted") typically occurs when you attempt to post costs or transactions to a cost object (such as a cost center, internal order, or project) that has been logically deleted in the system. This means that the cost object is no longer active for posting transactions, and any attempts to do so will result in this error.
    
    Cause: Logical Deletion: The cost object has been marked as logically deleted in the system. This can happen if the cost object was closed or if it has been set to inactive status. Configuration Changes: Changes in the configuration or master data settings may have led to the cost object being flagged as deleted. End of Life: The cost object may have reached the end of its lifecycle, and the organization has decided to stop using it for new postings.
