This message is triggered by the Document Management Framework of the
Knowledge Provider (DMF-KPro). Depending on the scenarios used in it, a
KPro-DMF application decides for tolerant or for restrictive use of
permitted characters.
Tolerant mode:
In this mode all characters are permitted for names of directories and
documents except for:

The purpose of restricting the characters is because the above
characters are not allowed to be used as directory or file name on
Windows and UNIX platforms.
Restrictive mode:
Permitted characters for directory and document names of this hierarchy
are:
a-z, A-Z, 0-9
and the special characters #%+,@^.-_&
as well as the space.
Hyphens(-) must not be used as the first character.
The permitted characters are limited to the syntactic character set and
some characters with special meanings in the Windows and UNIX
environment are excluded. The reasons for restricting the characters
are:
Unrestricted use as directory or file names on Windows and UNIX
platforms.
Upper/lower case conversions for checking uniqueness of names within a
name space beyond all the code pages.
Uniqueness for sorting independent of the platform.
Use only permitted characters for the names of directories and
