  • What causes this issue?

The "Actual" indicator (record actual data) has been activated for
    version &V1&.
    There are two possibilities:
    A <DS:GLOS.Deltaversion>delta version</> of the strategic activity-based
costing is to be created for version &V1&. In this case, you should not
select the indicators "WIP/RA" (carry data from results analysis and WIP
calculation in the version) and "Variance" (carry data from variance
    calculation in the version).
You can ignore this message if the "Plan" (record planning data)
    indicator has been selected.
You want to define version &V1& as an <DS:GLOS.Version, additive>
    additional actual version</> for the <DS:GLOS.Version, operative>
operational version</>. In this case, you must not have carried out
planning for this version. The indicators "WIP/RA" (carry data from
results analysis and WIP calculation in the version) and "Variance"
(carry data from variance calculation in the version) must be selected.
The "Plan" (record planning data) indicator must not be selected.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message KT339 - You cannot plan version & as an additive version ?

The SAP error message KT339, which states "You cannot plan version & as an additive version," typically occurs in the context of planning in SAP, particularly when dealing with versions in the Controlling (CO) module. This error indicates that the version you are trying to use for planning is not set up to allow additive planning.

    Cause:

    1. Version Configuration: The version you are trying to use is not configured as an additive version in the system. Additive planning allows you to add values to existing planned values rather than replacing them.
    2. Version Type: The version may be set as a "standard" version or another type that does not support additive planning.
    3. Authorization Issues: There may be restrictions based on user roles or authorizations that prevent the use of certain planning versions.

    Solution:

    1. Check Version Settings:

      • Go to the configuration settings for planning versions in SAP (Transaction code: OKKP or similar).
      • Verify that the version you are trying to use is set up as an additive version. You can do this by checking the version type and its properties.
    2. Create or Modify Version:

      • If the version is not set as additive, you may need to create a new version or modify the existing one to allow additive planning.
      • Ensure that the version is marked correctly in the configuration settings.
    3. User Authorizations:

      • Check if the user has the necessary authorizations to use the specified version. If not, consult with your SAP security team to adjust the roles and permissions.
    4. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for detailed steps on how to configure planning versions and understand the implications of different version types.
    5. Testing:

      • After making changes, test the planning process again to ensure that the error is resolved.

    Related Information:

    • Additive Planning: This is a method where planned values are added to existing values rather than replacing them. It is commonly used in budgeting and forecasting scenarios.
    • Version Management: In SAP, versions are used to manage different planning scenarios, such as budgets, forecasts, and actuals. Each version can have different settings and purposes.
    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as KP06 (Cost Center Planning), KP07 (Cost Center Planning: Display), and OKKP (Maintain Versions) for managing planning versions.

If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP support team or refer to SAP Notes for any specific patches or updates related to this error.
