  • What causes this issue?

For a sales order item, the planned costs that are used as a basis for
calculating the profit can be calculated in the following ways:
Using the <DS:GLOS.standard_cost_estimate>standard cost estimate</> for
    the material
Using the standard price for the material
Using the <DS:GLOS.sales_order_costing>sales order cost estimate</>
    (cost element planning)
Using the planned values of the object (sales order cost estimate) and
the dependent objects (such as the preliminary cost estimate for the
    production order)
For logistical orders (such as production orders) and projects, the
planned costs are determined in <DS:GLOS.cost_element_planning>cost
    element planning</> or in a <DS:GLOS.unit_costing>unit cost
    estimate</>.
    To perform <DS:GLOS.results_analysis>results analysis</> for a sales
order item, you must select a profit basis that corresponds to your
    planning method.
