    Planning level '&V1&' and planning package '&V2&' are not consistent. A
    selection is made in the planning package to characteristic '&V3&'
    which is not, however, a component of the planning level.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Either include the characteristic in the planning level or remove the
    selection from the planning package.
    With the second option, the planning package must first be set back to
    the consistent original status. You must then modify the relevant
    planning package and remove the selection to characteristic '&V3&'.
    Once you have cleaned up all planning packages in the planning level in
    this way, you can remove the characteristic from the planning level.
