The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Check whether a validity check needs to be run for the field. If no
validity check is required, you then need to delete the check table and
the check field from the field catalog.
Otherwise, you need to maintain the foreign key relationship manually
with transaction SE11.
