Message type: E = Error
Message class: KD - CO Settlement
Message number: 048
Message text: Enter percentage in the same way as for the other rules
You have created a settlement rule that has shares determined by
equivalence numbers. There are rules, however, which have shares
determined by percentage values and belong to the same settlement type.
(For example, the rules with the number &V1&)
The entry is rejected by the system, as otherwise no clear
determination of the settlement share would be possible.
For rules with the same settlement type, use either percentage rates
only, or equivalence numbers only. You should therefore enter a
percentage rate in the rule you are currently processing instead of an
equivalence number. You can also leave both fields empty for now, and
enter the settlement share later in the overview for all rules.
You can switch from settlement by percentage to settlement by
equivalence numbers (or the other way round). To do this, you must
enter the validity periods for the rules so that no rule with
percentage settlement is valid in the same period as a rule with
equivalence numbers.

KD048
- Enter percentage in the same way as for the other rules ?The SAP error message KD048, which states "Enter percentage in the same way as for the other rules," typically occurs in the context of controlling (CO) when working with cost planning or allocation processes. This error indicates that there is an inconsistency in how percentages are entered for different rules or segments in a planning scenario.
Cause:
The error usually arises due to one of the following reasons:
- Inconsistent Percentage Entries: The percentages entered for different cost elements or rules do not match the expected format or values. For example, if some entries are in decimal format (e.g., 0.25 for 25%) while others are in whole numbers (e.g., 25), this inconsistency can trigger the error.
- Missing Values: If certain rules require a percentage but are left blank or filled incorrectly, it can lead to this error.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the controlling area or planning layout that are not aligned, causing discrepancies in how percentages are interpreted.
Solution:
To resolve the KD048 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Percentage Format: Ensure that all percentage values are entered in the same format. If the system expects percentages in decimal format, convert all entries accordingly (e.g., 25% should be entered as 0.25).
Review All Rules: Go through all the rules or segments where percentages are defined and ensure that they are consistent. Make sure that if one rule is using a certain format, all others should follow the same.
Fill in Missing Values: If any rules are missing percentage values, fill them in appropriately. Ensure that all required fields are completed.
Consult Documentation: Review the SAP documentation or configuration settings related to the specific planning scenario you are working on. There may be specific guidelines on how to enter percentages.
Test Changes: After making adjustments, re-run the planning or allocation process to see if the error persists.
Seek Help from SAP Support: If the issue continues after checking the above points, consider reaching out to SAP support or your internal SAP team for further assistance.
