SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: K6 - EC-EIS/EC-BP data basis: Data entry and collection

  • Message number: 100

  • Message text: No suitable unit column exists for column &1

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

A unit column is automatically defined for each column by the Report
Painter (exception: lead columns). Columns and their accompanying unit
columns have the same selection conditions, whereby the period is
taken out. You have belatedly deleted the unit coulmns.

    System Response

Units are not displayed for all columns in the data entry. This has no
effect in the currency key figures as the database currency is always
determined with the data model. You can ignore the currency. For
quantity key figures without a fixed or reference unit no entries can
be made either, because values without units are reset. You merely lose
the chance of entering an entry unit from which the one in the database
unit is determined. This is with the quantity key figures with fixed or
    reference units.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

Add unit columns for quantity key figures without fixed or reference
units, by marking the column with the cursor and selecting the menu path
    'Edit -> Columns -> Append add.field'.
If you have already done this, please check the selection conditions
(without the period) of the affected columns for equality.
