Message text: Set of values of node & not explicit
The SAP System checked all end nodes in sub-hierarchy &V1&, which
determined that the number of values (cost centers, orders, cost
elements) is not unambiguous. This can be caused by the following
situations:
Single values occur more than once
Intervals of values overlap
Single values overlap with intervals of values
&NOTE&
The ambiguity check is relative, meaning the SAP System checks the
number of values beneath the top node of actual processing (the highest
step in the current maintenance). This can lead to ambiguities in
sub-hierarchy maintenance.
A
B C
D E F G
Access through node A cannot lead to generation of ambiguities.
Access through node B follows, and value X is maintained to node E.
Still, access through node C could also lead to value X being
maintained to node G. In conclusion, access through node A occurs and a
change is made which, when saved, would initiate databank changes along
with it. Since the entire palette of values is again available, the
ambiguity is determined and the above message is given.
This is not possible in the standard hierarchy because the assignment
of values to nodes takes place only in master data maintenance.
The SAP System rejects databank changes with ambiguous groups.
Check the values in the current hierarchy structure for ambiguities and
remove them with sub-hierarchy maintenance (access with nodes for which
the number of values is unambiguous).
Existing ambiguities can be displayed with <ZH>Ambiguity check</>.

K0127
- Set of values of node & not explicit ?The SAP error message K0127, which states "Set of values of node & not explicit," typically occurs in the context of SAP Controlling (CO) when working with cost center accounting, internal orders, or other related areas. This error indicates that there is an issue with the configuration of a set of values in a report or a planning layout.
Cause:
The error is usually caused by one of the following reasons:
Missing or Incorrect Configuration: The set of values for a specific node (e.g., cost center, internal order) is not explicitly defined in the system. This can happen if the node is not properly configured in the controlling area or if the values are not assigned correctly.
Hierarchy Issues: If you are using a hierarchy (e.g., cost center hierarchy) and the node in question is not part of the defined hierarchy or is incorrectly linked, this error can occur.
Authorization Issues: Sometimes, the user may not have the necessary authorizations to access the specific set of values, leading to this error.
Data Consistency: If there are inconsistencies in the master data or if the data has been changed or deleted, it can lead to this error.
Solution:
To resolve the K0127 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Configuration:
- Go to the configuration settings for the relevant controlling area and ensure that the set of values for the node is explicitly defined.
- Verify that the node is correctly configured in the hierarchy.
Review Hierarchies:
- Check the hierarchy structure to ensure that the node is included and correctly linked.
- If necessary, update the hierarchy to include the missing node.
Authorization Check:
- Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to access the required nodes and sets of values.
- You may need to consult with your SAP security team to verify and adjust user roles and permissions.
Data Consistency:
- Review the master data for the relevant cost centers or internal orders to ensure that there are no inconsistencies or missing entries.
- If data has been deleted or changed, you may need to restore it or update the relevant entries.
Testing:
- After making the necessary changes, test the report or transaction again to see if the error persists.
