Message class: IUUC_ME -
Message number: 021
Message text: Cannot recreate object; object &1 does not exist in configuration
Consider the following situation:
A CDS View (for example ZCDSVIEW1) was added to the configuration, and
the option <ZK>Create View</> was selected using the <ZK>Data
Provisioning</> function.
This view was subsequently changed in the source system - a new object
(a CDS view or a table) was added to the view. This view now also
selects data from the newly added object. For example, the view now
selects data from ZTABLE1 and the newly added object ZCDSVIEW2.
The system creates an event to handle the changed view. This event
(Object Definition Changed) has an option to recreate the CDS view in
the target system.
As the newly added object ZCDSVIEW2 does not yet exist in the
configuration or the target system, SAP LT Replication Server displays
this error when you try to recreate the view ZCDSVIEW1 in the target
system.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
To resolve this issue, you can analyze the object listed in the error
message using the <ZK>Data Provisioning </>function and add any newly
added objects to the configuration so that the object is created in the
target system.

- Cannot recreate object; object &1 does not exist in configuration ?The SAP error message IUUC_ME021, which states "Cannot recreate object; object &1 does not exist in configuration," typically occurs in the context of SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) or Data Replication. This error indicates that the system is trying to recreate an object (like a table or a view) that it cannot find in the configuration settings.
Cause:
- Missing Configuration: The object referenced by &1 is not defined in the SLT configuration. This could happen if the object was deleted or if the configuration was not set up correctly.
- Incorrect Object Name: The object name specified may be incorrect or misspelled.
- Transport Issues: If the configuration was transported from one system to another, it may not have been transported correctly, leading to missing objects.
- Database Changes: Changes in the underlying database schema (like dropping a table) without updating the SLT configuration can lead to this error.
Solution:
- Check Configuration: Verify that the object exists in the SLT configuration. You can do this by navigating to the SLT configuration transaction (e.g., LTRC) and checking the list of configured objects.
- Recreate the Object: If the object is missing, you may need to recreate it in the source system or update the SLT configuration to reflect the current state of the database.
- Correct Object Name: Ensure that the object name is correctly specified in the configuration. Check for any typos or discrepancies.
- Transport Validation: If the configuration was transported, ensure that all necessary objects were included in the transport request and that the transport was successful.
- Check Logs: Review the SLT logs for any additional error messages or warnings that might provide more context about the issue.
- Restart Replication: After making the necessary corrections, you may need to restart the data replication process to ensure that the changes take effect.
