Message text: Inconsistent rule assignment for field &1 of cluster &2
You are replicating data from multiple cluster tables belonging to the
table cluster &SYST-MSGV2&. Field-related rules are assigned to field
&SYST-MSGV1& (a key field of both cluster tables and the table cluster).
The same rules must be assigned to the key field for all cluster tables,
but this is not the case. Either different rules are assigned to the key
field of the cluster tables, or a rule is assigned to the key field for
one of the cluster tables but not for the others.
The system cannot create the migration object.
Ensure that the same rule is assigned to key field &SYST-MSGV1& of all
cluster tables (of table cluster &SYST-MSGV2&).
Note that assigning the same rule also to the table cluster is optional.
The system will assign the rule automatically if this is not done.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

IUUC_MAIN170
- Inconsistent rule assignment for field &1 of cluster &2 ?The SAP error message IUUC_MAIN170, which states "Inconsistent rule assignment for field &1 of cluster &2," typically occurs in the context of SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) or Data Replication processes. This error indicates that there is an inconsistency in the rule assignment for a specific field in a data cluster, which can lead to issues in data replication or transformation.
Cause:
- Inconsistent Configuration: The error often arises when there are discrepancies in the configuration of the data replication rules. This can happen if the rules for a specific field in the source system do not match the expected configuration in the target system.
- Changes in Data Model: If there have been changes in the data model (e.g., adding or removing fields) in either the source or target system without updating the corresponding rules, this can lead to inconsistencies.
- Transport Issues: If the transport of configuration changes between systems was not executed properly, it could lead to mismatches in rule assignments.
Solution:
- Check Rule Assignments: Review the rule assignments for the specified field in the cluster mentioned in the error message. Ensure that the rules are correctly defined and consistent across the source and target systems.
- Reconfigure Rules: If inconsistencies are found, reconfigure the rules for the affected field. This may involve updating the transformation rules in the SLT configuration.
- Synchronize Data Models: Ensure that the data models in both the source and target systems are synchronized. If there have been changes, make sure to update the SLT configuration accordingly.
- Transport Configuration: If the issue is related to transport, ensure that all relevant transport requests have been properly imported into the target system and that the configurations are consistent.
- Check Logs: Review the SLT logs for additional details about the error. This can provide more context and help identify the specific cause of the inconsistency.
