What causes this issue?

The maintenance plan from which you would like to copy data has
different attributes than the one you wish to create.

System Response

The system will not let you copy this maintenance plan as you can only
copy maintenance plans of the same category and type.

How to fix this error?

If you want to be able to copy data from the reference maintenance plan
to the new maintenance plan, you have to change the category, strategy
and multiple counter setting of the new one so that they match the
reference maintenance plan.

Procedure for System Administrators

Check whether the maintenance plan category and type are the same as in
the reference maintenance plan.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Maintenance plan types can have different settings:
Single cycle (performance-based/time-based): This setting has no defined
strategy and the multiple counter checkbox is not selected.
Strategy (performance-based/time-based): This setting has a defined
strategy and the multiple counter checkbox is not selected. Please note
that for copying purposes, it does not suffice just to have a defined
strategy for both maintenance plans. The defined strategies must also be
the same.
Multiple counter: This setting has no defined strategy and the multiple
counter checkbox is selected. Please note here that if the multiple
counter checkbox is selected, it overwrites any defined strategy values.
