- Simulation of editing was successful ?The SAP error message IAOM_CPROJECTS023 indicates that the simulation of editing a project was successful, but it does not necessarily mean that the actual changes were applied or that there are no issues with the project. This message is typically related to the Project System (PS) module in SAP.
Cause:
- Simulation Mode: The message indicates that the system has successfully simulated the changes you attempted to make to a project. This means that the system has checked the changes for consistency and potential errors, but it does not mean that the changes have been committed to the database.
- Data Validation: The simulation may have passed without errors, but there could still be issues that need to be addressed before the actual changes can be made.
- Authorization Issues: Sometimes, the user may not have the necessary authorizations to make changes, even if the simulation is successful.
Solution:
- Review Simulation Results: Check the details of the simulation to ensure that all aspects of the project are correct and that there are no warnings or issues that need to be resolved.
- Commit Changes: If the simulation was successful and you are satisfied with the results, proceed to commit the changes to the project. This usually involves executing the transaction again without the simulation mode.
- Check Authorizations: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to make changes to the project. If not, contact your SAP administrator to obtain the required permissions.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific details related to the project you are working on, as there may be additional steps or considerations based on the project type or configuration.
