  • Message class: HRPAYDESV - Error Messages Germany Payroll, Social Insurance

  • Message number: 091

  • Message text: Incoming notification already exists

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

An inbound notification was assigned to the target system (current
system or client) through an RFC connection and was transferred to that
system. However, the inbound notification already exists there.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    System Response

    This is an information message.
The inbound notification in the target system remains unchanged. The
time stamp of the status indicator is merely changed.

    How to fix this error?

This situation can only occur if a timeout occurred in a previous
assignment, which means the inbound notification in the initial system
still has status <LS>Received</>, but processing in the target system
was not completed properly and the inbound notification was saved after
a timeout. The next time the notification assignment report is started,
the inbound notification is transferred again because it still has
    status <LS>Received</>.
Check the log of the notification assignment report to see whether
another timeout occurred. If necessary, extend the wait time on the
    selection screen.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message HRPAYDESV091 - Incoming notification already exists ?

The SAP error message HRPAYDESV091 indicates that there is an incoming notification that already exists in the system. This typically occurs in the context of payroll processing or personnel administration when the system detects a duplicate entry for a notification that is being processed.

    Cause:

    1. Duplicate Notification: The most common cause is that the same notification has already been processed or entered into the system. This could happen due to:

      • Manual entry errors.
      • System integration issues where the same data is sent multiple times.
      • A previous process that did not complete successfully, leaving the notification in a pending state.
    2. Data Consistency Issues: There may be inconsistencies in the data being sent to the system, leading to the system interpreting it as a duplicate.

    Solution:

    1. Check Existing Notifications:

      • Use transaction codes like PA20 (Display HR Master Data) or PA30 (Maintain HR Master Data) to check if the notification already exists for the employee in question.
      • Look for any pending notifications that may not have been processed yet.
    2. Review Integration Processes:

      • If the notifications are coming from an external system (like a third-party payroll system), ensure that the integration is functioning correctly and that duplicate notifications are not being sent.
    3. Delete or Correct Duplicate Entries:

      • If you find that a duplicate notification exists, you may need to delete or correct the existing entry before attempting to process the new one.
    4. Consult with Technical Support:

      • If the issue persists, it may be necessary to consult with your SAP technical support team or a functional consultant to investigate further. They can check for any underlying issues in the configuration or data processing logic.
    5. Check for System Notes:

      • Review any system notes or logs that may provide additional context on why the duplicate notification was detected.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as PA20, PA30, PA40 (for actions), and PC00_MXX_CEDT (for payroll processing).
