  • What causes this issue?

In the supplementary pension for the public sector, the start of the
parental leave has to be reported as the day when the child is born, and
not after the end of maternity protection period. Therefore, in the
system, the child has to be entered in the <LS>Family Member/Dependents
</> infotype (0021) under subtype <LS>Child</> (2). The date of birth
(and thus the start date of the infotype record) must lie within the
    maternity protection period.
In the case of a stillbirth, the original absence <ZK>Maternity
Protection</> must be replaced as of the day of the stillbirth by two
special absences <ZK>Maternity Protection</> in the infotype <ZK>
    <LS>Maternity Protection/Parental Leave</></> (0080) or in the infotype
<ZK><LS>Absences</></> (2001) if the infotype <LS>0080</> is not to be
used. These two special absences are not recognized as maternity
protection in the supplementary pension (to encode the absence for the
supplementary pension, see the procedure for system administration
    below):
The first absence up to the day of the stillbirth is to be reported as
unpaid absence (insurance feature <LS>40</>) in the SP notification, but
must not be coded as maternity protection period in the supplementary
pension (since otherwise the system searches for a child in infotype
    <LS>0021</>).
The second absence as of the day of the stillbirth until the end of the
maternity protection period is to be reported as parental leave
(insurance feature <LS>28</>) in the SP notification.
    General Comment:
In the case of stillbirths or if no parental leave is requested after
the maternity protection period, the SP notification program still
generates a reporting period with the insurance feature <LS>28</>
(parental leave) as of the day of the (still)birth until the end of the
maternity protection period, provided the child was entered in the
    infotype <LS>Family Member/Dependents</> (0021) under the subtype
    <LS>Child</> (2).
There are interpretations of the collective agreements, the statutes, or
the reporting guidelines by customers or supplementary pension
institutes, whereby in these cases the maternity protection period is to
be reported as a whole with the insurance feature <LS>40</> (Absence).
In this case, an absence that is coded as unpaid absence in the
supplementary pension must be used for the entire period of the
    maternity protection period.

    System Response

In Payroll Germany, this message is displayed as a warning. However, in
the SP notification program it is displayed as an error and the
personnel number concerned is rejected such that no notifications can be
    generated for this personnel number.

    How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The coding of absences relevant for the supplementary pension are stored
in the field <DS:DE.P01P_ABWVA>VBLAK</> using table <LS>T5D0A</>
(Absence Attributes). The documentation (F1 help) for the field
<DS:DE.P01P_ABWVA>VBLAK</> contains information on how each of the
technical keys is interpreted for the SP notifications.
