SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: HRPAYDEMUSCHG_BV - Maternity Protection Act - Prohibited Activities

  • Message number: 506

  • Message text: For evaluation period &1 to &2, three months have already cumulated

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

For the evaluation period &V1& to &V2&, the system already cumulated the
    base amounts over 3 months.
Normally, the last 3 months before the start of the month in which the
pregnancy occurred are used as the basis for the assessment period for
calculating the average income. For multiple sequential maternities, if
an alternative date is specified for the assessment period, it is
possible that multiple assessment periods, and thus a period of more
than 3 months, are assigned for an evaluation period.

    System Response

The current period is no longer taken into consideration in the
cumulation. The adjustment amount is calculated using the existing
    cumulation.

    How to fix this error?

Check whether the correct assessment period was assigned for each
maternity (<LS>infotype 0080</>). If necessary, enter an alternative
date. You can also enter the average income to be used for each wage
    type manually.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message HRPAYDEMUSCHG_BV506 - For evaluation period &1 to &2, three months have already cumulated ?

The SAP error message HRPAYDEMUSCHG_BV506 typically occurs in the context of payroll processing, particularly when dealing with the evaluation of wage types or payroll results over a specified period. The message indicates that for the evaluation period specified (from &1 to &2), three months of data have already been cumulated, which may exceed the allowed limits for certain payroll calculations or evaluations.

    Cause:

    1. Exceeding Cumulation Limits: The error suggests that the system has detected that the cumulation of payroll data for the specified period has reached a threshold (in this case, three months). This can happen if the payroll results for the employee have already been processed and cumulated for that period.
    2. Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the payroll schema or in the wage type settings that limit the number of months that can be cumulated.
    3. Incorrect Evaluation Period: The evaluation period specified may not align with the expected payroll processing periods, leading to confusion in the cumulation logic.

    Solution:

    1. Check Payroll Results: Review the payroll results for the employee in question to see if there are already three months of cumulated data. If so, you may need to adjust the evaluation period or the data being processed.
    2. Adjust Evaluation Period: If the evaluation period is incorrect, modify it to ensure it does not exceed the allowed cumulation limits.
    3. Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings in the payroll schema and wage types to ensure they are set up correctly. You may need to consult with your SAP HR configuration team to adjust these settings if necessary.
    4. Run Payroll Again: If the error occurred during a payroll run, you may need to correct the underlying issue and rerun the payroll for the affected period.
    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to this specific error message for additional guidance and troubleshooting steps.
