GI532
- No free numbers available in the number interval ?The SAP error message GI532 "No free numbers available in the number interval" typically occurs when the system is unable to assign a new number from a defined number range. This can happen in various contexts, such as when creating documents, orders, or other entities that require unique identification numbers.
Cause:
- Exhausted Number Range: The most common cause is that the defined number range has been exhausted. This means that all the numbers in the specified range have been used up.
- Incorrect Number Range Configuration: The number range may not be properly configured, or the intervals may not be set correctly.
- Number Range Lock: The number range might be locked for some reason, preventing new numbers from being assigned.
- User Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to access or use the number range.
Solution:
Check Number Range Status:
- Go to transaction code SNRO (Number Range Objects).
- Enter the relevant number range object and check the current status to see if the range is exhausted.
Extend the Number Range:
- If the number range is exhausted, you can extend it by:
- Going to transaction code SNRO.
- Selecting the relevant number range object.
- Adjusting the upper limit of the number range to allow for more numbers.
Create a New Number Range:
- If extending the existing range is not feasible, consider creating a new number range.
- This can be done in the same SNRO transaction by defining a new interval.
Check for Locks:
- Ensure that the number range is not locked. You can check this in the same SNRO transaction.
User Authorizations:
- Verify that the user has the necessary authorizations to use the number range. This can be checked in the user roles and profiles.
Consult Documentation:
- Review SAP documentation or consult with your SAP Basis or functional team for specific configurations related to your system.
