Message class: G06 - SAP Cons - Error Message re. Consolidation of Investments
Message number: 022
Message text: Investee unit &1 is a parent unit in sender group &2
In sender group &V2&, the investee unit &V1& is flagged as a parent
unit. Hence, this group cannot provide sender data for organizational
changes in the investee unit. Because of this, incomplete posting
entries are incurred in the receiver groups that are assigned to sender
group &V2& and to which the investee unit &V1& is being transferred
(according to the logic for organizational changes).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Adjust the sender/receiver relationship for investee unit &V1&. To do
this, run transaction CXOC1 and assign different sender groups to the
affected identifiers for organizational changes.

G06022
- Investee unit &1 is a parent unit in sender group &2 ?The SAP error message G06022 indicates that there is an issue with the investment management or consolidation process, specifically related to the hierarchy of units in a sender group. The message states that the investee unit (identified by &1) is a parent unit in the sender group (identified by &2). This typically means that the system is trying to process a transaction or a report that involves a unit that is not allowed to be treated as an investee because it is a parent unit.
Cause:
- Hierarchy Misconfiguration: The investee unit is set up as a parent unit in the organizational structure, which means it cannot be treated as a child or investee unit in the context of the transaction being processed.
- Incorrect Sender Group Assignment: The sender group may have been incorrectly configured, leading to the inclusion of a parent unit as an investee.
- Data Entry Error: There may have been a mistake in data entry or configuration that led to this inconsistency.
Solution:
- Review Unit Hierarchy: Check the organizational structure and ensure that the investee unit is correctly defined. If it is a parent unit, it should not be included in the investee list for the sender group.
- Adjust Sender Group Configuration: If the sender group is incorrectly configured, you may need to adjust the settings to ensure that only appropriate child units are included.
- Correct Data Entries: If the error is due to incorrect data entries, correct the entries in the relevant master data or transaction data.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or guidelines for investment management or consolidation to ensure compliance with the required configurations.
