What causes this issue?

The default indicators must be the same for characteristics within a
compound. Two alternatives are as follows:
The default indicator is not selected for any of the characteristics.
The default indicator is selected for all characteristics which are not
subitem category-like.
However, the default indicator settings are not the same for the
characteristics &V1& for entry &V3& of method &V2& (chart &V4&).

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Set the default indicators for characteristics &V1& as described above.
