  • What causes this issue?

    In Global Settings (in transaction CXB3), you have activated the use of
    <LS>line items in S/4 HANA</> with an effective from fiscal year that is
    no later than the fiscal year in the current parameter environment.
    In this case, the system requires a separate document type for posting
    the retained earnings for integrated consolidation units (for example,
    when reading from the universal document). You must define the separate
    document type for reported financial data (that is, with posting level
    zero) and with the <LS>calculation of retained earnings</> business
    application.
    However, there is no such document type in view &V1&.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    In transaction CXER, define a document type with the following
    properties:
    Posting level zero (reported financial data)
    Business application <LS>calculation of retained earnings</>
    No calculation of deferred taxes
    No automatic document reversal
