G00724 - Overview

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: G00 - SAP Consolidation

  • Message number: 724

  • Message text: &1 &2 cannot be deleted (totals records exist)

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

&V1& should be uploaded. "Delete all" is set as the
<DS:DE.FC_UPDMODE>Update mode</>. This means that the existing master
data will be completely replaced by the uploaded master data.
As &V1& &V2& (&V3& &V4&) are not uploaded, the settings belonging to
    them must be deleted appropriately.
However totals records are available for this characteristic value.
After deleting the settings, no access to the totals records would be
at all possible. Therefore deleting master data, to which totals
records exist, is not permitted in general.

    System Response

All uploaded records are categorized as incorrect and are not written.
    No existing settings are deleted.

    How to fix this error?

Check whether the totals records, which were not uploaded, should
really be deleted. In this case, first delete the totals records which
still exist. Bear in mind that they are then irretrievably lost.
It normally makes sense not to delete master data again once they have
been created. In this case, choose the update mode "Delete uploaded".
By doing this you reach the exact transfer of uploaded settings, while
the totals records and Customizing settings of objects, which are no
longer required, remain accessible in the system.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
