  • What causes this issue?

    Task group &V1& is not a valid task group in relation to task group
    &V2&, which is assigned the dimension for the current period and
    version.
    A valid (group-dependent) task group cannot contain any gaps regarding
    the display sequence of tasks of task group &V2&.
    Task group &V1& concerns a group-dependent task group, which was
    generally assigned to the consolidation group (this is defined for you
    in the global parameters) in the master record.
    In the current case, an inconsistency was established regarding the
    display sequence of task &V3& in task groups &V1& and &V2&.
    Example:
    The global task group assigned to the dimension is
    TG = {T1, T2, T3, T4} with the following display sequence in the
    monitor:
    T1 -> T2 -> T3 -> T4.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    Then there are the following task groups with valid task groups
    regarding TG:
    {T1}, {T1, T2}, {T1, T2, T3}, {T1, T2, T3, T4}
    Task group {T1, T3} would not be valid task groups in this example, as
    T2 would not be included as predecessor of T3, and consequently there
    would be a gap in the display.
    Note that the quantity of tasks of a valid task group always form a
    partial quantity of all the tasks to be exeuted in the dimension. Also
    one task must be indicated as the last logical task in one of the task
    groups for the data monitor. This can only be a task, which does not
    have any successor tasks.

    How to fix this error?

    Check the definition of task groups &V1& and &V2& in Customizing as
    well as, if required, the assignment of group-dependent task group &V1&
    in the master record of the consolidation group, this is possibly
    entered for you in the global parameter settings.
    If necessary, complete the quantity of assigned tasks from &V1&, or use
    a different (regarding &V2&, valid) task group for a group-dependent
    assignment (which is always optional).
    If you use the field "Arrangement" in the task group definition to
    influence the task sequence in the monitors, then make sure that the
    field is consistently maintained for ALL assigned tasks of task group
    &V1& and task group &V2&.
